After her aide's arrest, Mamata hits out at Bengal media house
Kolkata, Feb 22: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lashed out at journalists of a particular media house in Bengal after they asked her about the arrest of Shibaji Panja, a businessman who accompanied Banerjee on her three-day visit to Bangladesh. Panja was arrested as soon as he reached Kolkata airport.
The Delhi Police had issued a look-out notice against Panja on February 19 in connection with a case of fraud.

When asked about the arrest, a livid Banerjee hit out at the journalists of a particular media house, warning them not to cross the limit. She said she had nothing to do with the arrest and even alleged that the arrested businessman had connection with the owner of that media house.
She also accused the media house of fuelling riots and said she could have had its people arrested but didn't do so for she believed in as a sign of courtesy. "I could have had you arrested but I didn't do it because I believe in courtesy," she said.
The chief minister also said that she is not the servant of that particular media house.
The BJP criticised Banerjee, saying such violent reaction is not desirable.
