Whose sanitary napkin is that? Women employees stripped at pvt firm to find out

Kochi, Dec 29: Female employees of a private firm in the Special Economic Zone here were allegedly stripped after their lady supervisors decided to find out who had left a used sanitary napkin in the toilet, an Indian Express report said. Police registered a case against two women supervisors for allegedly outraging the women's modesty. The state women's commission also intervened.

The incident reportedly happened at Asma Rubber Private Limited on December 10. The supervisors found used sanitary napkin in the washroom and wanted to find out who used them. The supervisors then ordered a strip search of the women employees aged below 50. In all, 45 women were made to undergo a humiliating examination in the process to find out the 'culprit'.

According to the Indian Express report, the police registered the case only on last Saturday and the complaint was transferred to the women police cell which said the probe would begin only on Monday.

The state women's commission sought tough action against the supervisors, the report added. The panel would seek an explanation from the company's management, the report said.
