Godman arrested for molesting a 14-year girl

Kochi, Aug 13: Self proclaimed godman has been arrested for molesting a 14-year girl here.

The godman named Pradeep Menon had been operating the 'Hare Krishna Satsang' behind Guruvayoor Mammiyoor temple. He was booked for allegedly molesting the minor.

The 'godman' was living in Mammiyoor for the past four years after his wife's death. Menon started 'Hare Krishna Satsang' at his house and his followers visits him on Saturdays and Sundays.

Since its inception lot of people visit the meetings and a woman along with her two children on a frequent basis started visiting the god-man.

The family visited Pradeep on April 19. He served cool drinks to them and molested the girl.

A complaint was filed by the victim's father, when he came to know about the incident.

The victim has complained that her mother was forcing her to visit the god-man.

The self-styled god-man has been charged for molesting minors and the victim's mother has also been booked by the police.
