BJP's Kerala Candidate List: K Surendran To Take On Rahul Gandhi In Wayanad
K Surendran, Kerala BJP Chief, will be taking on former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming General elections.
The saffron party has released the names of the candidates for the Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Sikkim, Telangana, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.

From Kerala, the BJP has announced four candidates in the list. The state will go to the polls on April 26.
Wayanad will witness a triangular contest with K Surendran taking on Rahul Gandhi and CPI national leader Annie Raja.
Since 2009, Surendran has contested in three Lok Sabha elections and four Assembly elections. In the 2021 assembly polls, he contested in the Konni and Manjeshwar constituencies but lost both seats. His bid for the Manjeshwar seat in 2016 ended in a narrow defeat by just 86 votes while in 2021 he lost by 745 votes in the same seat.
In Ernakulam, Dr K S Radhakrishnan, who previously held positions as chairman of the state public service commission and vice chancellor of the Sanskrit university during the Congress regime, is representing the BJP. Despite contesting from the Tripunithura seat in Ernakulam district during the 2021 Assembly elections, he faced defeat.
Actor G Krishnakumar is the BJP candidate in Kollam. A member of the BJP national council, Krishnakumar contested the 2021 Assembly elections from Thiruvananthapuram.
In the Alathur (SC) constituency, former college principal Dr T N Sarasu is the BJP's candidate.
Meanwhile, 'Metroman' E Sreedharan on Sunday said that the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi would definitely come back to power at the Centre and that the saffron party would win at least four-five seats in Kerala in the Lok Sabha polls.
He asserted that BJP candidate Suresh Gopi would surely win from Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency in the state and Union Ministers Rajeev Chandrasekhar and V Muraleedharan would win in Thiruvananthapuram and Attingal segments, respectively.
Senior woman leader Shobha Surendran has good chances in Alappuzha constituency, the Metroman added, while speaking to TV channel Asianet News.
