Rajasthan: Rape accused Babulal Nagar to give blood sample to CID?

Jaipur, Sept 25: The former Rajasthan minister Babu Lal Nagar, who is accused of raping a 35-year-old married woman, may give blood sample to the Criminal Investigation of Department (CID) for medical examination to carry out probe, on Wednesday.
On Monday, Nagar's family told the CID that he has gone to Shirdi in Maharashtra. The investigating team of CID has already served three notices on Nagar directing him to remain available for medical examination, but they were left waiting at his residence on Monday.
Another report said that CID may seek arrest warrant against Nagar if he fails to turn up for medical examination.
Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) authorities have also sought blood sample of Nagar to carry out its investigation.
53-year-old Nagar's son, Ravi said, "My father left for Shirdi and will be able for medical examination as soon as he returns. He is not escaping medical examination. He will be available for any probe."
Woman alleged that she was raped by Nagar at his residence on Sept 11.
The woman who has alleged that she was raped by Nagar at his official residence on September 11 on the pretext of a job offer, had submitted a memory card as an important evidence to the CID, that reportedly contains the recordings of conversation between her and Nagar.
The police on Monday said that they had got semen samples from the woman's clothes.
Following rape allegations, Nagar had to resign as the minister of state for dairy and rural industries on Sept 20.
Rajasthan government on Saturday had recommended a CBI enquiry into the allegations of rape against Babulal Nagar.
