Windows Users Worldwide Hit By Massive Outage Due To Buggy Crowdstrike Update
Several Windows users around the globe are encountering the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), which causes their systems to shut down or restart unexpectedly.
Microsoft has indicated that this issue is related to a recent update from CrowdStrike.

BSOD errors, also referred to as 'black screen errors' or 'STOP code errors', occur when Windows must abruptly shut down or restart to prevent damage to the system.
Users may see a message like "Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer."
These errors can arise from either hardware or software issues.
Troubleshooting
- If you've recently added new hardware and are experiencing a Blue Screen error, try turning off your PC, removing the new hardware, and then restarting.
- If you're unable to restart normally, boot into Safe Mode by following the instructions for starting your PC in Safe Mode available in Windows.
To address the issue, you might also want to:
- Update Windows with the latest patches via Windows Update.
- Seek additional help from other resources.
