Why Is World War 3 Trending On X?
Iran launched missiles at Israel, triggering alarms across the country as civilians rushed to shelters. Iran stated that the missile strike was in retaliation for the recent killings of a Guards commander and other key leaders.
Later, Israel's military lifted the shelter advisory, declaring it safe for Israelis to leave. It also vowed to retaliate against Iran "at a time and place of our choosing."

In response, the Iranian Guards warned of "crushing attacks" if Israel retaliated.
Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari appeared on television, calling the missile strike a "serious attack" and promised there would be "consequences." He emphasized that Israel remained on high alert.
The situation in Israel and across the region remains extremely tense tonight, with the time just past 8:30 p.m. in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Earlier, the Israeli military had warned that any ballistic missile attack from Iran could be widespread, advising the public to take shelter in safe rooms.
This escalation followed Israeli ground raids into Lebanon, marking the most significant regional conflict since the Gaza fighting erupted last year.
On Tuesday, U.S. President Joe Biden directed the U.S. military to support Israel in response to Iranian attacks, including shooting down missiles targeting the country, according to the White House National Security Council. National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savett shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating that President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are closely monitoring the situation from the White House's situation room, receiving continuous updates on the ongoing conflict.
Following the escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran, the phrase "World War 3" quickly started trending on X, formerly known as Twitter. Users flooded the platform with posts, expressing concern and sharing a variety of videos and reactions related to the growing conflict.
Many videos showed footage of Iran missile attacks, alarms sounding, and civilians seeking shelter across Israel, while others speculated about the potential global repercussions of the confrontation.
