Surveillance footage captured the moment when an unidentified shooter entered the supermarket, approached Gopikrishna, and fired, causing serious injuries, as reported by Times Now. The shooter then proceeded to leap over the counter and take items from the shelves. Despite receiving immediate medical attention at a nearby hospital, Gopikrishna tragically succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. His wife and son, who reside in Andhra Pradesh, India, survive him.

Following the shooting, law enforcement officials, including Arkansas State Police Director Mike Hagar, confirmed that the suspect, Travis Eugene Posey, engaged in gunfire with authorities and sustained injuries during the altercation, as reported by Times Now. Posey, aged 44, has since been charged with capital murder and is currently in custody.
