Tech giant Apple has announced that Sabih Khan will take over as its next Chief Operating Officer (COO) later this month. The move is part of a long-planned leadership transition, the company confirmed.

Khan will replace Jeff Williams, who has served as Apple's COO since 2015. Williams will continue at Apple, overseeing the design team, Apple Watch, and health initiatives, while reporting directly to CEO Tim Cook.

Who is Sabih Khan?

Born in 1966 in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, Sabih Khan moved to Singapore in his school years. He later moved to the United States for higher education and earned dual bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and economics from Tufts University, followed by a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

Before joining Apple in 1995, Khan worked at GE Plastics (now SABIC) as an applications development engineer. Over the years, he played a key role in shaping Apple's global operations.
