A 26-year-old Indian student from Telangana's Mahabubabad has died in the US after battling injuries sustained in a car accident in Texas three months ago.
Rohith Reddy Bandi had been hospitalized since the accident occurred on April 13. On July 24, his death was confirmed despite receiving extensive medical treatment.

"Rohith passed away on July 24 after a long battle with head injuries," was informed by Rohan, Rohith's brother, on the GoFundMe page on July 27. Major injuries were sustained by Rohith, resulting in several brain strokes that affected about 70% of his brain, including critical regions responsible for basic life functions, as stated by Rohan.
Following the accident, Rohith was first admitted to an ICU at Dell Seton Hospital in Austin. Major surgery was undergone, and he was placed on a ventilator. Later, he was transferred to Select Speciality Hospital in Dallas Plano for continued specialized treatment.
Rohith, who was a graduate teaching assistant at the University of North Texas, hailed from Gundrathimadugu Village in Telangana's Kuravi Mandal. This information was reported by The Times of India. It was earlier mentioned by Rohan that the medical expenses for his brother were substantial and increasing daily.
"As the expenses for his medical care are substantial and growing daily, a fund is being set up to cover his ongoing medical costs and rehabilitation," was stated by Rohan on the GoFundMe page, an online fundraising platform. It was confirmed by Rohan that his brother's body is expected to arrive home on Wednesday or Thursday, as reported by The Times of India.
