It took three years of hard work to clear the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam. "Discipline, hard work, and the desire to contribute to society have driven me throughout this journey," Kashish Chaudhary told Samaa TV.

On Monday, Chaudhary and her father met Balochistan chief minister Sarfaraz Bugti in Quetta. She has expressed her commitment towards women's empowerment, minority rights and provincial development. "Kashish is a symbol of pride for the nation and Balochistan," CM Bugti said.

Hindus constitute Pakistan's largest minority group. Official statistics indicate a population of 7.5 million Hindus in Pakistan, although community estimates suggest over 9 million. The Sindh province is home to the majority of Pakistan's Hindu population.

How Hindu Women Are Entering Male Dominated Fields In Pakistan

Pakistani Hindu women are increasingly entering and succeeding in traditionally male-dominated fields, overcoming cultural, religious, and social obstacles to attain notable positions. Notably, Manesh Ropeta made history in July 2022 to become the first Hindu woman to take up the Superintendent of Police post in Karachi.

Pushpa Kumari Kohli is a 35-year-old police sub-inspector in Karachi who passed the Sindh police Public Services Examination. Suman Pawan Bodani is another prominent figure, serving as a civil judge in Hyderabad after her initial appointment in Shahdadkot, Sindh province, in 2019.

Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, a politician from Sindh, has observed a strong interest among young Hindu women, supported by their families, in pursuing education and higher learning.

He stated, "Our young women are doing us proud. We have doctors, civil servants, police officers, etc in Sindh," while also emphasizing the need for more educational resources for the Hindu community in Sindh to address challenges such as forced conversions and abductions of young Hindu girls.
