White House Cocaine Inquiry: New Details Emerge
Multiple officials involved in the White House cocaine inquiry have revealed that the bag of powder was found in a cubby near the White House's West Executive entrance, rather than the formal West Wing lobby, as initially reported.
The entrance is located between the foyer and a lower-level lobby. It is near where some vehicles, like the vice president's limo or SUV, park. The entrance is also one floor below the main West Wing offices and on the same floor as the Situation Room and a dining area.

Investigators expect to be done with the investigation by Monday. While forensic analysis of the cocaine bag is ongoing, officials maintain low expectations of identifying the individual responsible for leaving it.
When asked about the specific West Wing entrance involved during Wednesday's briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre deferred the question to the Secret Service.
The area where the cocaine was found is heavily trafficked by VIPs, visitors, tourists, staff members, military officials, and facilities operations employees.
President Biden and his family were not at the White House when the cocaine was found. They were at the presidential retreat at Camp David, Maryland.
Meanwhile, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., has sent a letter to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle asking for more information about the investigation. Secret Service officials say they have received the letter and will respond.
