When Obama goof up about visa status of San Bernardino massacre accused Tashfeen
Washington, Dec 8: President Barack Obama misspoke about the visa status of Tashfeen Malik, an accused in the San Bernardino massacre during his address to nation.
While addressing nation in a televised speech, he mentioned that Malik arrived US under a visa waiver programme. His error forced White House to issue a correction, reported USA Today.

Tashfeen Malik arrived US on a fiance visa formally known as a K-1 visa to marry co-conspirator husband, Syed Rizwan Farook. Her husband was a US citizen.
Malik was preparing to marry her eventual co-conspirator husband, Syed Rizwan Farook.
Under visa-waiver programme citizens of 38 countries mostly in Europe are allowed to arrive US without advance approval from the State Department.
The visa waiver is a separate process that allows citizens of 38 countries mostly in Europe to enter the US without advance approval from the State Department.
The White House later acknowledged Obama's error and in the transcript of his speech mentioned: "Please see below for a correction, marked with an asterisk."
