We need to work together to turn SAARC into model organization, says Pak President
Islamabad, April 7: Pakistan and Sri Lanka need to work together to turn SAARC into a model regional organization, said president Mamnoon Hussian while talking to his Sri Lankan counterpart Maithripala Sirisena in Islamabad on Tuesday, media reported.
"Pakistan wants constructive, sustained and result-oriented dialogue with India on all issues, including Kashmir," said president while talking to Sirisena, Radio Pakistan reported.
Sri-Lankan president Maitripala Sirisena is currently on three-day visit to Pakistan. Sirisena arrived in Islamabad on Sunday at the invitation of President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Sharif. It is his first visit to the country after assuming power in January after defeating Mahinda Rajapaksha.
He also said Pakistan believes in friendly relations with all its neighbours.

He expressed the confidence that signing of various memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements with Sri Lanka in different fields will further enhance bilateral relations.
On this occasion, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena said Pakistan is a sincere friend and brotherly country.
The two presidents also agreed on further strengthening bilateral cooperation in defence and security fields.
Both the countries signed six agreements to enhance cooperation in the fields of sports, shipping, tourism, and economic development, anti-narcotics, defence and disaster management.
Sirisena invited Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to visit Colombo for further cementing Pakistan--Sri Lanka ties.
