The comedian was struck multiple times by the singer, who referred to him as a "third-class" individual. Host Mohsin Abbas Haider intervened and sternly reminded Nanha to stick to the script and avoid improvisation to prevent such incidents.
The studio was left in uproar as the singer stormed out, declaring she would never grace the show's stage again. Speculation regarding the incident's authenticity was ignited by the circulating video, leading some to question whether it was scripted or staged.
One observer speculated, "Probably, that has been produced or adapted for the stage and contrived for a desired impression! It turned out to be a prank in the end." Another commenter echoed similar sentiments, stating, "Naah it's Scripted." A third user noted, "It turned out to be a prank in the end."
Despite the speculation, NDTV could not independently verify the authenticity of the claim. Interestingly, Manzoor had previously played a practical joke on the hosts of the same program, Mohsin Abbas Haider.
