WATCH | Leftist Meltdowns Go Viral After Trump’s Win: Social Media Can't Stop Laughing
Following Donald Trump's surprising victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election over Kamala Harris, many pro-Harris supporters took to social media to express their intense frustration. Viral videos capturing emotional reactions from these voters have spread widely online, sparking both sympathy and a fair amount of trolling.
Emotional Outbursts Capture Attention Online

One particularly intense video features a voter furiously addressing those who supported Trump or abstained from voting, declaring, "If you voted for that man... if you voted for anybody other than Kamala... and you live in one of the states that was close... or, if you didn't vote, f**k you!" Another clip shows a young woman repeatedly shouting, "I'm done! I'm done! I'm done!" as she vents her disappointment.
These videos have gained significant traction, largely after far-right radio show host Alex Jones, who boasts a following of 3 million on X (formerly Twitter), shared a compilation with the caption: "Best of Leftist Trump Victory Meltdowns." The video has already amassed nearly 34 million views and continues to gain attention.
Mixed Reactions: Sympathy, Criticism, and Trolling
Viewers have offered mixed responses to these videos. Some users expressed disdain, with one commenting, "I bet none of these girls pay their own bills. They probably get to sit home all day being keyboard warriors while mommy and daddy take care of all their needs. They're in a bubble insulated from real-life issues."
Another remarked, "All of those adult children chose to film themselves having a 'breakdown.' That tells you all you need to know."
Others shared broader critiques about the younger generation, suggesting that these reactions reflect an "everybody wins" mentality.
One user summarised, "These adults - who are mostly Gen Z - are like this because they grew up with 'no competition' sports where everyone gets a medal. Well, life doesn't work that way. Yes, we MAGA supporters are celebrating, and if Harris had won, her supporters would be celebrating, too. Suck it up and be adults."
Behind the Numbers: Demographic Divides in Voting Patterns
Trump's win in 2024, much like in previous elections, reflected clear demographic divisions. Black voters overwhelmingly supported Harris, with 86% casting their vote in her favour, while Trump received just 12%. Harris also led among Hispanic/Latino voters at 53% compared to Trump's 45%, while Asian voters leaned toward Harris at 56% over Trump's 38%.
However, Trump found strong support among white voters, receiving 55% of their vote compared to Harris's 43%. Gender played a significant role, too, with male voters preferring Trump at 54%, while female voters leaned toward Harris with 54% of their vote.
Social Media and the Emotional Pulse of the Election
The viral videos have become a snapshot of the highly polarised reactions to this election, capturing both the personal disappointments of pro-Harris voters and the amusement of Trump supporters. With nearly 34 million views on Jones's compilation, these emotional outbursts are shaping the online narrative post-election.
As the dust settles, the 2024 election continues to fuel debates not just about policy, but about the stark contrasts in how different groups handle political wins and losses.
