Viral Video Shows Pet Tiger Chasing Man In Lavish Dubai Home

The opulent lifestyle in the United Arab Emirates is often showcased in various online videos. Owning wildlife, including cheetahs, tigers, and lions, has become a notable status symbol in this oil-rich country. Affluent individuals are frequently observed strolling with their tigers along public beaches and displaying their collection of exotic animals on social media.

However, a recent viral video from the Instagram page Billionaire's Life Style featured a pet tiger chasing a man inside a luxurious home in Dubai. Some viewers found the clip "scary," expressing concerns about the confinement of such animals within a house.

Tiger Chases Dubai Man

In the video, the man initially smiled as the feline pursued him, but he eventually tumbled and fell to the ground. Despite the man's attempts to stand up and escape, the tiger continued to chase him.

The post's caption reads, "Only in the Middle East." Since its sharing, the video has garnered four million views. One of the Instagram users commented, "So wrong, does not belong here, needs his freedom. This beautiful animal is not a toy." Meanwhile, many viewers expressed that the clip was "scary." Another commented, "Bro thinks he will escape a tiger by foot, but what he is doing is engaging in the hunt." "These animals should not be kept as pets within a structure other than nature," added another Instagram follower.

It is important to note that the private ownership and trade of wild and dangerous animals were banned in the UAE in 2017. Citizens taming wild animals to keep as pets face a $136,000 (700,000 Dirham) fine or six months in jail. "The law bans dealing in and ownership of all types of wild and domesticated but dangerous animals. Only zoos, wildlife parks, circuses, breeding, and research centres are entitled to keep wild or exotic animals. The public is urged to report cases of wild animals being kept as pets," the UAE Cabinet said on its website.
