Relations Between India and Maldives:
Relationships between India and Maldives were affected majorly after the Island nation's three Ministers made disgraceful remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, earlier this month. However, those three ministers were sacked immediately by President Mohamed Muizzu. However, the incident led to a boycott of Maldives, one of the most favorite tourist destinations, from Indian worldwide, and a push to India's own Island Lakshadweep.
Following the incident, tourists in a massive number canceled their trips to the Island nation, which affected their economy majorly.
