Video: The moment Munich gunman opened fire

Munich, July 23: A video posted on Youtube on Friday (July 22) afternoon showed the moment a gunman opened fire outside a McDonald's. At least 10 people, including the gunman, were killed while scores were injured in the mayhem that occurred at a shopping centre in the city located in southern Germany. [Munich attack: Highlights]

In a press conference later, the police described the suspect as 18-year-old man of German and Iranian citizenship, who was previously unknown to authorities. [No Indian casualty: Sushma Swaraj]

The attack in Munich came just eight days after a heavy truck crushed over 80 people to death during the Bastille Day celebrations in France's resort city of Nice. Thirty-five people were killed in twin attacks at the airport and a metro railway station in Belgium's capital Brussels in March this year. A few days ago, a youth had carried out an attack with an axe on a train in Wurzburg in south-central Germany injuring four persons. The endless attacks across Europe has raised serious questions on the continent's security.
