Video Reveals Alleged Secret Residence Of Vladimir Putin Near Finland

A highly guarded residence near Russia's border with Finland is believed to be owned by President Vladimir Putin.

It was reported by the investigative outlet Dossier Center on Monday.

Secret Putin Residence revealed

The residence, situated 30 kilometres from Finland in northwestern Russia's republic of Karelia, allegedly includes "three modern-style houses on the shore of Marjalahti Bay, two helipads, several yacht piers, a trout farm, and a farm with cows for marbled beef production."

The property, covering an area of about one square kilometre, was shown in drone footage revealing features such as a waterfall, which the Dossier Center claims was "stolen" from the Ladoga Skerries National Park.

The aerial images were captured, journalists stated, without disclosing how, but emphasizing their ability to bypass 24-hour security, intelligence officers, and drone signal jamming. The video report produced by the journalists bears resemblance to anti-corruption investigations conducted by jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

Two years ago, a square-shaped embankment, along with visible vehicle markings on the grass at the Karelia residence grounds, was reported to have appeared, indicating potential signs of what is described by the Dossier Center as an anti-aircraft system.

It is asserted by residents that the property is visited by Putin at least once a year, as per the outlet's information. The construction of the secretive residence initiated over 10 years ago, is said to have been ordered by close associates of the Russian leader.

According to the Dossier, the residence is part of a "network of companies that deal with the president's leisure activities and are responsible for all of his real estate," belonging to businessman and financier Yury Kovalchuk.

A nearby hotel, along with a neighbouring residence, is reported to be owned by Kovalchuk and former Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich, as cited in Russia's property registry, the outlet stated.
