Video: 'Fauda' Star Caught In Cross Fire As Israel-Palestine War Rages On Post Hamas Attack; Over 900 Dead

Renowned Israeli actor Lior Raz displayed an unwavering commitment to his homeland by volunteering to join the "Brothers in Arms," a group actively supporting Israel in its ongoing conflict against Hamas. Raz, widely recognized for his role in the popular TV series "Fauda," has a history of collaboration with the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) due to his work on the show.

Raz recently shared a poignant video on his social media handle X, wherein he could be seen alongside Yohanan Plesner, President of the Israel Democracy Institute, and journalist Avi Yissascharov in the southern Israeli town of Sderot. The video captured the trio taking cover behind walls as they bore witness to a rocket attack.

In his social media post, Raz described the mission: "Accompanied by Yohanan Plesner @yplesner and Avi @issacharoff, I headed down south to join hundreds of brave 'Brothers in Arms' volunteers who worked tirelessly to assist the population in the south of Israel. We were sent to the bombarded town of Sderot to extract two families."

Raz's involvement in the conflict extends beyond this mission. In previous social media posts, he had vehemently condemned the attacks, expressing his sorrow for the loss of innocent lives. He wrote, "Our country was attacked by a cruel enemy who murdered children, women, and men in cold blood in their beds... This is not a victory. It is darkness fighting light."

In a separate post, he appealed to the world to remember the gravity of the situation, saying, "When the war turns, and we promise you that we Israelis will turn it, and Gaza will absorb the losses, remember that we go into this war with a heavy heart, with no desire to kill innocents, and with no choice in the face of those who come against us." as quoted by HT.

The conflict has taken a devastating toll, with over 1500 people losing their lives since the onset of the violence initiated by Palestinian-based Hamas militants. Tragically, a hundred bodies were discovered in Beeri following a hostage standoff between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces.

Furthermore, as per media reports, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, at least 187,500 people have been displaced in Gaza since the war began. The repercussions of this conflict continue to reverberate on both sides, and the world watches with concern, hoping for a resolution to end the suffering.
