Venkatesh Garg Held in Georgia, Bishnoi Gang Aide Bhanu Rana Nabbed in US

Indian security agencies have successfully apprehended two of the nation's most notorious gangsters, who had been operating from abroad. Venkatesh Garg was captured in Georgia, while Bhanu Rana was detained in the United States. Rana is associated with the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Both individuals are expected to be deported to India shortly. Presently, more than 24 major Indian gangsters are overseas, recruiting and managing criminal networks.

The arrest operation has shed light on the methods employed by these criminals. Venkatesh Garg, a native of Narayangarh in Haryana, has over ten criminal cases against him in India. He fled to Georgia after being implicated in the murder of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader in Gurugram. Garg has been actively recruiting young individuals from Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and other northern states.

Garg's Criminal Activities

Garg has been running an extortion racket alongside Kapil Sangwan, another gangster residing overseas. In October, Delhi Police arrested four of Sangwan's shooters involved in attacks on a builder's house and farmhouse. This highlights the extensive reach and influence of Garg's criminal operations.

Bhanu Rana has been living in the US for some time and is linked to the Bishnoi gang. Originally from Karnal, he has a long history of criminal activities with several cases registered against him. His network spans across Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi.

Rana's Criminal Network

Rana's name surfaced during investigations into a grenade attack in Punjab. In June, Karnal's Special Task Force (STF) arrested two men found with hand grenades, pistols, and ammunition acting under Rana's instructions. This incident underscores his involvement in serious criminal activities.
