USISPF Applauds PM Modi for Securing a Historic Third Term in Office
Congratulations poured in from the US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF) as Narendra Modi embarked on his third term as India's Prime Minister, marking a significant milestone in the nation's political landscape. Modi, leading the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), was sworn in on Sunday, matching the record for a third term in office. This event has been met with optimism by key international stakeholders, reflecting a broader expectation of stability and continued reform under his leadership.

Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO of USISPF, expressed his commendation for Prime Minister Modi's re-election, emphasizing the swift action taken towards governance following the election results. "I congratulate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on being sworn in for a historic third term and leading the NDA government," Aghi stated, highlighting the quick move to resume governance as a testament to the commitment to India's democratic values and the trust placed by its citizens.
The assignment of portfolios to parliamentarians has been noted by observers as indicative of a desire for policy continuity and further reforms. Aghi pointed out that this approach not only alleviates concerns among investors but also boosts their confidence in India's economic trajectory. The coalition nature of Modi's government has not deterred its reform agenda, suggesting a stable path forward for policy implementation.
Since its establishment in 2017, USISPF has been at the forefront of fostering deeper ties between India and the United States. The forum's efforts have been geared towards enhancing strategic partnerships and elevating bilateral relations. Notably, USISPF hosted Prime Minister Modi during his state visit to Washington in June 2023, underscoring the importance of ongoing dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.
"We look forward to continuing this momentum with the Government of India and wish the prime minister and all incoming ministers all the success for their new term," Aghi remarked. This sentiment reflects a broader international perspective on India's role on the global stage, with expectations high for continued economic growth, stability, and strategic partnerships under Modi's leadership.
The re-election of Narendra Modi and the formation of his government come at a crucial time for India, as it seeks to navigate both domestic challenges and its position in international affairs. The emphasis on continuity, reform, and governance from both national and international observers underscores the significance of this moment in India's democratic journey.
