US President Joe Biden's Top Official Almost Broke Down On Live TV Over Hamas Attack On Israel

White House spokesperson John Kirby was visibly moved during a live television appearance as he addressed the heart-wrenching toll of the Israel-Gaza war, which has tragically claimed nearly 1,600 lives.

In a somber tone, Kirby expressed the profound human cost of the conflict, acknowledging that the victims were not just statistics but real people, loved ones, friends, and family members.

"It's difficult to look at these images. The human cost. They are human beings, family members, friends. They are loved ones," Kirby was quoted saying.

In the midst of his emotional address, Kirby struggled to hold back tears while discussing the recent Hamas attack during a live broadcast on CNN. The enormity of the situation weighed heavily on him, as he grappled with the impact of the violence on innocent lives.

US President Joe Biden revealed that at least 11 American citizens had lost their lives in the assault, with several others potentially being held hostage by the Palestinian group.

If retaliatory Israeli air strikes continue, the militant group Hamas has threatened to kill about 150 hostages.

In response, the United States demonstrated its unwavering support for Israel by deploying an aircraft carrier closer to the region as per reports.

President Biden described the attacks as "heart-wrenching" and assured that the US government was actively collaborating with its key ally to secure the release of the hostages. This perilous situation had escalated significantly, placing both nations on edge.

The crisis deepened as Israel implemented a total siege on the Gaza Strip, severing its water supply and intensifying concerns about the already dire humanitarian conditions in the region. With over 900 casualties reported in Israel, the country responded with a relentless barrage of strikes on the Gaza Strip, resulting in a rising death toll of 687.

Hamas, on the other hand, launched a series of attacks over the weekend, firing thousands of rockets and breaching Gaza's security barrier on Saturday, 7th October 2023. Their actions extended beyond military targets, targeting nearby Israeli towns and military posts while indiscriminately opening fire on residents and passersby.

The group labeled their offensive "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" and called upon resistance fighters in the West Bank and across Arab and Islamic nations to join their cause.

The Israeli military subsequently announced that they had regained "more or less control" over the Gaza border following the mass breach by the Palestinian group.

The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides grappling with the devastating consequences of the ongoing conflict.
