US Police Consider Cybertruck As New Patrol Vehicle, Elon Musk's Reaction Sparks Buzz!
A few customers received Tesla's long-awaited Cybertrucks last month, constructed of shiny stainless steel and shaped into flat planes, following years of development delays and manufacturing snags. Recently, a question was posed to billionaire and Tesla Chief Elon Musk by Rosenberg Police in Texas, United States, inquiring if the newly launched vehicle would make a "good police vehicle." X CEO Musk responded to the query, generating excitement on the internet.
Taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the official handle of Rosenberg Police wrote, "Spotted out in the wild. What do you think @elonmusk... will the #Cybertruck make a good police vehicle? It's still hard to find new vehicles to replenish our older police units. Should we make the change in 2024?" They also shared two pictures of the Cybertruck with a police officer standing and posing next to it.

The post was noticed by the Tesla 's owner Elon Musk and he reacted to the suggestion with a "100" emoji, which is commonly used for general acceptance of an idea. Since being shared, the post has amassed over 3,50,000 lakh views and more than 27,000 likes.
The comment section on the post was flooded with reactions. one of the X user wrote, "That light bar with police lights would look amazing and who doesn't need bullet-resistant doors." While another X user wrote, "Police stations around the world are thinking about buying Tesla $TSLA #Cybertrucks to replenish their fleets." Another commented, "This is the next logical step for police and military to order big volumes of cybertruck. This will make a big difference in safety and reliability." Some of the X users have also shared the pictures of Tesla's cyber trucks with the branding of the US Police. To which, the official account of Rosenberg Police responded.

Meanwhile, an awaited update on pricing and specifications was provided by Tesla, with the base version of the vehicle estimated to cost $60,990, marking an increase of more than 50 percent from the cheapest option proposed four years ago. It is not expected to be available until 2025.
Reservations for that vehicle and two configurations to be delivered next year, costing an estimated $79,990 and $99,990, are being accepted by the automaker. The version offering the most battery range will achieve about 340 miles on a charge, falling well short of the more than 500 miles the company promoted four years ago. The high-end version of Tesla's pickup, named Cyberbeast, will have the ability to achieve more than 440 miles of range by adding an additional toolbox-size battery against the back of the cab in the bed.
