US pleased with India's move to ban ISIS
Washington, Feb 14: The United States on Friday welcomed India's move to ban dreaded militant outfit ISIS and designate it as a terrorist organisation.
"I think we believe they are a terrorist organisation. We welcome others who also believe they are," the State Department Spokesperson, Jen Psaki told reporters when asked about India's decision on this issue.
Official sources in India today said a notification declaring ISIS and its affiliate groups as proscribed organisations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act will be issued very soon.
