US: Parents arrested for forcing their toddler to smoke marijuana
According to reports, not only the parents but also the maternal grandfather of the toddler was involved in 'helping, observing and encouraging' him in smoking marijuana from a lighted bowl on December 5 in an apartment in western New York.
As the bizarre incident came to light, 17-year-old Jessica Kelsey, 18-year-old George Kelsey and Jessica's 54-year-old father, Don Baker, were held on Friday on charges of "second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child".
Toddler and his another sibling are in the care of Child Protective Services.
They are being held in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. Meanwhile, the toddler and his another sibling are in the care of Child Protective Services.
"Unfortunately, when babies are having babies, that's what happens,"said Jodie Altman, executive director of Renaissance House.
