US: Multiple Fatalities Reported After Private Jet Crashes In California's San Diego
Several passengers aboard a private aircraft that crashed into a residential area in San Diego early on Thursday have been confirmed dead, reported AP.
Assistant Fire Department Chief Dan Eddy, speaking at a press briefing, noted that investigators would look into whether the aircraft had struck a power line.

He confirmed, however, that "no one on the ground was injured".
Officials from the San Diego police and fire departments said the aircraft had the capacity to carry between eight and ten people, though the exact number of passengers remains unknown.
Assistant Fire Chief Dan Eddy reiterated that "no one was injured on the ground".
Describing the devastation, Eddy said, "When it hit the street, as the jet fuel went down it took out every single car that was on both sides of the street. You can see that every single car was burning down both sides of the street."
Local authorities have not yet disclosed full details about the aircraft, but confirmed it had been on a flight arriving from the Midwest.
According to flight tracking website Flight Aware, a Cessna Citation II jet had been scheduled to land at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport in San Diego at 3:47 a.m. after departing from Colonel James Jabara Airport in Wichita, Kansas.
