US-India Friendship Among Most Consequential In The World: President Biden

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's historic state visit, President Joe Biden expressed on Twitter the significance of the friendship between the United States and India, describing it as one of the most consequential in the world.

The two nations signed numerous significant agreements to further strengthen their strategic technology partnership.

"The friendship between the United States and India is among the most consequential in the world. And it's stronger, closer, and more dynamic than ever," Joe Biden tweeted.

In response to Biden's tweet, Prime Minister Modi responded by saying that he "fully agrees" with President Biden and that the friendship between the two countries is "a force of global good." He tweeted, "I fully agree with you, @POTUS @JoeBiden! Friendship between our countries is a force of global good. It will make our planet better and more sustainable."

During the three-day official state visit from June 25 to 27, President Biden hosted Prime Minister Modi, featuring notable events such as a grand welcome ceremony on the South Lawns of the White House, a State Dinner, and a round table discussion with technology industry leaders, entrepreneurs, officials, and CEOs.

The White House said that Modi's state visit reaffirmed the deep and close partnership between the US and India. The visit highlighted their shared commitment to a free, open, prosperous, and secure Indo-Pacific region, as well as their determination to enhance their strategic technology partnership in areas such as defense, clean energy, and space.

The leaders also discussed expanding educational exchanges, fostering people-to-people ties, and collaborating on various challenges, including climate change, workforce development, and health security.
