US Army Veteran Smashes World Record For Most Tattooed Woman Ever: Tongue Split, 99.9% Body Inked

Esperance Lumineska Fuerzina, a 36-year-old Army veteran from Bridgeport, USA, has made history as the woman with the most tattoos and body modifications ever recorded.

With 89 body modifications and 99.98% of her body covered in intricate ink designs, she has transformed herself into a living canvas that embodies the theme of "turning darkness into beauty."

Her tattoos cover nearly every part of her body, including her hands, feet, scalp, and even delicate areas such as her tongue, gums, sclerae, and genitals.

Her journey into the world of body art began at the age of 21 with a small symbol linked to her first partner's family. Although this initial tattoo on her left hip was soon covered by a vibrant phoenix, it ignited a passion that has driven her ever since. "I knew right away, then, that I loved tattoos and wanted more of it," she recalls.

In September 2023, Esperance's dedication to body art was officially recognized in Tijuana, Mexico, where she earned her first Guinness World Record for being the most tattooed woman in the world. This achievement came almost by chance after an acquaintance mentioned the record, sparking her curiosity. Upon researching the record held by Charlotte Guttenberg, who had 98.75% of her skin covered in ink, Esperance realized she had already surpassed it.

Reflecting on her journey, she shares, "I was initially a little apprehensive, but I wanted to try to showcase the strength of women, and what's possible, by applying for the record myself." Now featured in the Guinness World Records 2025 alongside pro-skater Kanya Sesser and TikTok sensation Apollo the parrot, she expresses her amazement: "I feel both honoured and surprised about joining the Guinness World Records family."

Esperance's love for tattoos has always been intertwined with creative freedom. "I usually allow the artists a lot of creative freedom once I have found one whose style I am comfortable with and inspired by," she explains. Although she does some of her own tattoos, she mainly focuses on filling in her existing designs.

Her passion for body modification continues to evolve, with more tattoos planned for the future.

As she hints at potential new records, she leaves us with the promise that her journey is far from over: "Of course, I am not done!"
