United States to celebrate 4th of July with fervour

A typical 4th of July celebration consists of barbeque, good food, time with friends and fireworks at night.
It all began on July 4, 1776, when 13 colonies were seperated and declared independent buy Great Britain. A Declaration of Independence was signed and the states were declared free.
On June 20, 1870, Congress passed a law making July 4 a federal holiday.
The Fourth of July is also the most popular holiday for grilling and barbecuing, while Memorial Day is the second most popular holiday in the US. Americans consume around 155 million hot dogs on this day alone.
Most of the federal associations are closed on this day. Americans look forward to this day as this is a chance for them to go on a holiday with friends and relatives.
