UN chief concerned over tension between India, Pak
United Nations, Oct 21: UN Secretray-General Ban Ki-moon remains concerned over tensions between India and Pakistan regarding Kashmir and his good offices are available if requested by both parties, his spokesperson has said.
"You've seen what the Secretary-General has said in the past on the issue of Kashmir and his concerns still apply but we have nothing new to add on that," Ban's deputy spokesman Farhan Haq told reporters when asked about the India-Pakistan standoff and would the UN Chief offer his good offices to help the nuclear-armed South Asian neighbours resolve differences.

"Regarding the question of good offices, as you know, the way UN good offices work is that they would need to be requested by both parties," Haq said.
