Two militants killed in Russia police station attack

Moscow, April 11: At least two militants were killed on Monday as they tried to attack a police station in Russia's Stavropol region.

"Two militants who attempted to attack the Novoselitsky police station were liquidated today (Monday)," Tass news agency quoted Russian interior ministry as saying.

No civilian or police official was killed or injured in the attack, the ministry said.

According to the ministry, one of the militants was killed at the police station's checkpoint, and the other blew himself up.
