America Will Be Richer, Safer, and Prouder: Trump As Big, Beautiful Bill Passes Congress
President Donald Trump achieved a significant legislative victory as Congress narrowly approved his ambitious 'One Big Beautiful Bill.' The bill passed with a vote of 218-214, with two Republicans, Thomas Massie and Brian Fitzpatrick, opposing it. This landmark legislation includes tax cuts and increased funding for the Pentagon and border security.
The bill's passage in the Senate was marked by a 51-50 vote, with Vice President JD Vance casting the decisive vote. This followed intense negotiations and a 27-hour marathon of amendment votes. Despite unified Democratic opposition and defections from three Republican senators—Thom Tillis, Rand Paul, and Susan Collins—the bill succeeded.

Trump's Celebration Plans
Following this legislative success, President Trump announced plans for a signing celebration at the White House. He invited all US Congress members and Senators to join the event scheduled for 4 P.M. EST on July 4th. Trump expressed that this moment marks the beginning of a new era for America.
"The Republicans in the House of Representatives have just passed the 'ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT.' Our Party is UNITED like never before, and our Country is "HOT," Trump stated. He highlighted that this achievement would make Americans richer, safer, and prouder than ever before.
Vice President's Remarks
Vice President JD Vance admitted he had doubts about meeting the July 4 deadline for passing the bill. "Congrats to everyone. At times, I even doubted we'd get it done by July 4! But now we've delivered big tax cuts and the resources necessary to secure the border. Promises made, promises kept!" Vance said on X.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that President Trump would sign the bill during a "big, beautiful signing ceremony" on Friday evening. The ceremony is set to take place at 5 p.m., coinciding with Independence Day celebrations.
Republican Unity
President Trump praised key figures who contributed to this legislative win. "Thank you to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, and all of the wonderful Republican Members of Congress who helped us deliver on our Promises," he wrote on Truth Social.
The Hill reported that despite some internal party disagreements, Republican leaders managed to secure enough support for the bill's passage. This achievement underscores their commitment to fulfilling campaign promises related to tax cuts and border security enhancements.
This legislative milestone signifies a major step forward in implementing Trump's policy agenda. As celebrations are planned at the White House, this victory highlights Republican unity in achieving their goals amidst political challenges.
