Trump Addresses Air Force One Colour Scheme and TikTok's Future During Q&A Session

US President Donald Trump has been vocal since his inauguration, recently engaging in a 20-minute Q&A with reporters on Air Force One. He discussed various topics, including the presidential plane's colour scheme and the future of TikTok, Greenland, and Canada. During the flight from Las Vegas to Florida, where he stayed at his Doral golf club, Trump assured he would be too occupied to play golf.

Trump Talks Air Force One and TikTok

Trump expressed a desire for federal employees to return to their offices, opposing work-from-home arrangements that became common during the pandemic. "You have to go to your office and you have to work," he stated. He dismissed concerns about losing federal employees, saying, "We have very deep talent. We also have a lot of excess people." He suggested that the federal workforce had grown too large under Democrats.

TikTok's Future and Potential Investors

Trump mentioned ongoing discussions with potential investors interested in acquiring TikTok, which faces a possible US ban if not sold by its Chinese parent company. "Numerous people are talking to me," he said. "Very substantial people." He anticipates making a decision within 30 days. Despite reports, Trump clarified he hadn't spoken with Oracle or its co-founder Larry Ellison about buying TikTok.

The president highlighted that many other buyers are interested in TikTok. "We have a lot of interest in it, and the United States will be a big beneficiary," Trump remarked about a potential sale. He emphasised that any deal would only proceed if it benefits the US. Trump also noted his fondness for TikTok due to its impact on his popularity among young voters in the last election.

Greenland and Canada's Status

Trump reiterated his interest in acquiring Greenland from Denmark, despite Denmark's refusal to sell. "I do believe Greenland, we'll get because it really has to do with freedom of the world," he stated. He also elaborated on his idea of Canada becoming part of the US, claiming Canada has taken advantage of the US for years through trade deficits.

"I love Canada," Trump said. "I have so many friends up in Canada." He argued that Canadians would benefit from lower taxes and improved security if they became a US state. According to Trump, this change would lead to better treatment and care for Canadians while resolving military issues.

Trump joked about giving reporters more access than his predecessor Joe Biden did, claiming it was "like 5,000% different." He described Air Force One as a "special plane" but noted it hasn't changed much since his last term. Trump still wants to alter its exterior colours, stating, "We want power blue, not baby blue."

Throughout these discussions, Trump's comments reflect his ongoing interest in reshaping international relations and domestic policies according to his vision. His remarks on TikTok, Greenland, and Canada highlight his focus on national interests and economic benefits for the United States.
