"It is claimed in the video that ISIS is honouring President Obama," Trump stated. "He is said to be the founder of ISIS. He is claimed to have founded ISIS. And, it is suggested that the co-founder would be crooked Hilary Clinton."

It has come to light that the video in question is a resurfaced clip, with the remarks attributed to Trump not being made in response to the Moscow attack, but rather during his time as the Republican nominee before the 2016 presidential election.

Trump engaged in a heated argument with Democrats regarding various issues including Foreign Policy, the presence of US troops in conflict zones, and gun rights during his 2016 campaign address from Sunrise, Florida. It was during this exchange that Trump sharply criticized Obama, making comments about ISIS.

The Moscow terror attack

On Saturday, March 23, it was announced by Russia that 11 individuals, including four suspected gunmen, had been arrested in connection with the Moscow concert hall shooting, which resulted in the deaths of 143 people.

According to the Russian security agency, the attackers had contacts in Ukraine and were heading towards the border. The FSB reportedly stated, "After committing the terrorist attack, the criminals intended to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border, and had appropriate contacts on the Ukrainian side."

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by ISIS in a statement published by the ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram. However, no evidence was reportedly provided to support this claim. State-run RIA Novosti reported that the alleged terrorists "opened fire with automatic weapons" and "threw a grenade or an incendiary bomb, starting a fire.

They then allegedly fled in a white Renault car." According to state media Russia 24, the venue's roof has partially collapsed. It took authorities over six hours to largely bring the fire under control.
