Singapore witnessed a historic event today with US President Donald Trump and North Korean head, Kim Jong Un meeting at the Capella hotel. After the pleasantries the. Two leaders had a one on one meeting after shaking hands for nearly 13 seconds.

The two leaders had a working lunch as well post which several documents were signed. The two leaders committed the US to security guarantees and also the possible denuclearisation of Korea.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has tweeted an action photo of himself telling Japanese and South Korean foreign ministers Taro Kano and Kang Kyung-wha what Mr Trump and Mr Kim said to each other.
According to the document Trump and Kim signed, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a high-level North Korean official will hold "follow-up" negotiations at the earliest possible date, "to implement the outcomes of the U.S.-DPRK summit."
