Trump Issues Threat To Harvard One Again, Vows 'Victory' Against World-Renowned Varsity

US President Donald Trump vowed victory on Monday in his ongoing battle with Harvard, once again threatening to strip the world-renowned university of billions in funding, reported AFP.

"I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land," Trump declared, offering no further details, in one of several messages posted on Monday, which coincided with the Memorial Day public holiday in the United States.

He also raised the issue of removing foreign students from Harvard - a major source of enrolment and tuition revenue for America's oldest university - stating that he is awaiting a list of these students from the institution.

Trump said he wants this list "so that we can determine, after a ridiculous expenditure of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, how many radicalised lunatics, troublemakers all, should not be let back into our Country."

He added: "But have no fear, the Government will, in the end, WIN!"

The Trump administration took steps last week to prevent Harvard from enrolling foreign students, but a judge temporarily halted the order on Friday, pending a hearing scheduled for this week.

Trump is reportedly incensed with Harvard - which has produced 162 Nobel laureates - over its refusal to submit to federal oversight of its admissions and hiring practices. He accuses the university of being a hub for anti-Semitism and "woke" liberal ideology.

As part of his broader campaign against what he views as left-wing power centres in the US, including the media and academic institutions, Trump is seeking to assert unprecedented presidential authority over American public life.

In his confrontation with Harvard, he has threatened to place $9 billion in federal funding under scrutiny.

He has already frozen an initial $2.2 billion in grants and $60 million in federal contracts. Additionally, his administration has targeted a researcher at Harvard Medical School for deportation.
