Trump Questions Biden's Fitness to Serve Following 2024 Withdrawal
Former President Donald Trump responded on Sunday to Joe Biden's decision to end his reelection campaign, asserting that the current president is "certainly not fit to serve." Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race after facing increasing pressure from Democrats following a poor debate performance against Trump last month. Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the new Democratic nominee.

"Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t," Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump's Criticism of Biden's Presidency
Trump, 78, further commented, "We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" In a phone call with CNN shortly after Biden, 81, announced his exit from the 2024 race, Trump described Biden as going "down as the single worst president by far in the history of our country."
Meanwhile, Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., also criticised Kamala Harris as being more liberal and less competent than Biden. He stated that Harris owns the entire leftwing policy record of Joe Biden but is even more liberal and less competent. "Kamala Harris owns the entire leftwing policy record of Joe Biden. The only difference is that she is even more liberal and less competent than Joe, which is really saying something. She was put in charge of the border and we saw the worst invasion of illegals in our history!!!" Trump Jr. said.
Endorsement of Kamala Harris
Biden's endorsement of Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee came after he decided to step down from the race. This decision followed a faltering debate performance against Republican candidate Trump last month. The endorsement has sparked various reactions within political circles.
Former President Donald Trump told CNN earlier that he believes Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden would have been in the November 5 presidential election. This sentiment reflects Trump's confidence in facing Harris in the upcoming election.
The political landscape continues to evolve as candidates prepare for the November 5 presidential election. With Biden stepping down and endorsing Harris, both parties are gearing up for what promises to be a contentious race.
The reactions from Trump and his son highlight their ongoing criticism of both Biden's presidency and Harris's capabilities. As the election approaches, these critiques are likely to shape campaign strategies and voter perceptions.
The upcoming election will determine whether Trump's predictions about Harris hold true or if she can secure a victory for the Democratic Party. The political dynamics are set to intensify as both sides prepare for the final stretch of their campaigns.
