Trump Claims Zuckerberg Apologised For Censoring Pic, Vowed Not To Support Democrats

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has claimed that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg contacted him multiple times in recent weeks, particularly after the July 13 assassination attempt.

During the attack, a bullet grazed Trump's right ear, and a photo emerged of him with his fist in the air, shouting, "Fight, fight, fight."

Trump stated that Zuckerberg apologized for Meta and Instagram censoring the photo, reportedly saying, "That was really amazing; it was very brave."

Trump further mentioned that Zuckerberg expressed his respect for Trump's actions that day and declared that he would not support Democrats in the upcoming election out of respect for Trump.

According to Trump, Zuckerberg said, "He actually announced he was not actually going to support Democrats because he respects me for what I did that day. He actually apologized; he said they made a mistake, etc., and they are correcting the mistake. But nobody called from Google."

Earlier in July, Zuckerberg had publicly declined to endorse either Donald Trump or Joe Biden, stating that he does not wish to be involved in the upcoming US presidential elections.

This statement comes amid a growing trend of Silicon Valley figures, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, endorsing Trump.

In an interview with Bloomberg News, Zuckerberg described Trump's initial response to being shot as "badass" and inspiring, believing it showcases why Trump appeals to many voters.
