Trump Assassination Attempt: Secret Service Snipers Engaging With Shooter Caught On Camera
A dramatic video capturing the intense moment when Secret Service snipers engaged with the shooter at former US President Donald Trump's rally has gone viral. The footage, which has been widely shared on social media, shows the swift and decisive actions taken by the Secret Service to protect the former president and attendees.
The incident occurred during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night. According to law enforcement officials, the shooter was perched on a rooftop and used an AR-style rifle to fire multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside the rally venue.

The video begins with the sound of gunshots ringing out as Trump addresses the crowd. Within seconds, Secret Service agents can be seen rushing to shield Trump, who is quickly whisked off the stage. The camera then pans to the snipers, positioned strategically to counter the threat.
Despite their rapid response, the snipers were unable to neutralize the shooter before he fired several rounds. The shooter, who law enforcement sources say was 200-300 yards away, managed to kill one spectator and critically injure two others before being taken down by the Secret Service agents.
The video has garnered millions of views across various platforms, with viewers targeting Secret Service agents. Comments have flooded in, how Secret Service reaction was a failure. ''They were looking for the threat (thx to reports of the threat), but still failed to takeout the threat BEFORE Trump was hit,'' users said.
Statements and Reactions
Former President Donald Trump was injured in the attack, with reports indicating that a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear. In a post on Truth Social, Trump assured his supporters that he was fine and thanked the law enforcement and first responders for their quick action.
"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility," said Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung.
The Secret Service confirmed that the shooter was engaged and neutralized by their tactical team. "The shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside the rally venue, after which agents neutralized the shooter, who is now deceased," the Secret Service said in a statement.
Law enforcement officials are investigating the incident as a possible assassination attempt. The attack, which comes just months before the US presidential elections, has sparked widespread condemnation from politicians across the spectrum.
President Joe Biden was briefed on the incident and expressed his relief that Trump was safe. "There's no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it," Biden said.
