Tragic US Road Accident Claims Life Of Indian-Origin Girl As Car Ignores Stop Sign

In US, Clackamas County, Oregon, a tragic accident unfolded resulting in the death of a four-year-old Indian-origin girl and causing serious injuries to three others, on March 30, 2024.

As per the Oregon State Police, the collision was initiated when the car, being driven by 32-year-old Kakkera Geethanjali, proceeded through a stop sign on South Meridian Road and collided with another vehicle traveling on the Oregon 211 highway, as reported by India Today.

Indian-Origin Girl Dies In US

While the identity of the deceased girl remains undisclosed, it was revealed that the driver, Geethanjali, sustained critical injuries and was subsequently hospitalized. The injured individuals also included Nareshbabu Kamathman (36) and an eight-year-old boy, whose identities have been withheld.

Tragically, the young girl succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident, while Geethanjali and the two other passengers were reported to be seriously injured and were promptly transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The accident occurred amidst slowed traffic on the Oregon 211 highway, a situation that persisted for approximately five hours. Despite the severity of the collision, the occupants of the other vehicle involved sustained only minor injuries, as reported by the police.
