Topless activists disrupt Muslim conference on women, manhandled in France

Paris, Sept 15: Two female topless activists have been arrested in France during a Muslim conference on the role of Muslim women, media reported.

According to reports, two fundamentalists were discussing the question of "whether wives should be beaten or not".

The two female activists aged 25 and 31 took cognizance to the issue and ripped off their Arab-style cloaks and jumped on to the stage when the conference was going on near Paris on Saturday, reported The Telegraph.

One of the two activists had the slogan "No one subjugates me" inked across her torso while the other bore the words "I am my own prophet."

They grabbed the microphone and started shouting feminist slogans in French and Arabic. Both the activists were manhandled by a group of men before being arrested by the police.
