Three shot dead, one injured near University of Maryland in US
Washington, July 9: At least three people were killed when gunmen opened fire near a university in US, media reported.
Two gunmen opened fire on a group of people near Baltimore campus of University of Maryland late Tuesday, police said.

Two light-coloured vans pulled to the side of the road and one person got out of each van and began firing, campus police said in a statement on the school's website.
"The shooting took place around 11 pm in the 900 block of W. Fayette Street, near Poppleton Street," USA Today police official as saying.
One man was pronounced dead at the shooting place while two other died at the hospital and the fourth victim is being treated in a hospital for a gunshot wound.
The three deaths bring the homicide total for Baltimore for the year to at least 154, according to police news releases.
Homicides in Baltimore increased sharply in the weeks after rioting broke out in April following the death of Freddie Gray who was injured while in police custody.
