Donald Trump is set to return to the White House as the 47th President of the United States. The event marks a historic moment in American politics as the former 45th president takes the oath of office once again, officially beginning his second term in Washington DC.

Inauguration Day is more than just a ceremony. It's the formal transition of power, steeped in tradition and symbolizing the peaceful handover of leadership. This year's event will feature musical performances, a parade, and formal inaugural balls.

Alongside Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance will take the oath of office, joining the new administration in shaping America's next chapter. The ceremonies begin with Trump reciting the presidential oath, committing to 'preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Trump's day starts at the historic St. John's Church near Lafayette Square, followed by tea at the White House. From there, the focus shifts to the main stage on the West Lawn of the Capitol, where the formal swearing-in begins at 9:30 AM Eastern Time.

Among the estimated 200,000 attendees are supporters, protesters, and key political figures, including outgoing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Former presidents like Barack Obama and George W. Bush are also expected to attend, although former First Lady Michelle Obama will not be present.

The guest list also includes high-profile figures from the tech world, such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew is also reportedly attending, just as the platform faces a potential ban in the United States.

Following the swearing-in, Trump will deliver his inaugural address, outlining his vision and priorities for the next four years. He will then move to the President's Room near the Senate chamber to sign key documents before attending a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.

A celebratory parade will follow, with the procession traveling from the Capitol down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, marking the triumphant return of Trump and his administration.

The day concludes with three inaugural balls-the Commander-in-Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Starlight Ball. Trump is expected to make appearances and deliver speeches at all three events, celebrating with his supporters and dignitaries.
