Tell Them We Are Here: Hamas Live Streams Hostage Family's Message to Israel

On the fifth day of the Israel-Gaza conflict, a disturbing video surfaced, shedding light on how Hamas is exploiting Israeli hostages, even children. The distressing footage, broadcast live by Hamas, portrays a heart-wrenching scene in which an armed individual coerces a family to convey a message. Situated beside his wife, a man, injured and bleeding from a leg wound, cradles a young girl in his lap. Two other children sit on either side of the distraught couple, their sobs muffled by the overwhelming fear.

"Talk to your country, tell them we are here," the gunman instructs the man. The man, his voice quivering, discloses the presence of Hamas operatives in their home in the kibbutz of Nahal Oz, near Gaza. Looking into the camera, he reveals the gunshot wound in his leg.

A Hamas operative demands the man's identity card, and as he attempts to stand up to retrieve it, one of the captors assists him, revealing the profusely bleeding leg wound.

The video proceeds to show the gunmen coercing the couple's son, holding him at gunpoint, to convince other residents in the neighborhood to evacuate their homes.

Media reports indicate that Hamas presently holds approximately 150 hostages, among them children and even a Holocaust survivor. They have issued a chilling ultimatum, promising to execute a hostage for every Israeli bomb dropped on a civilian residence in the Gaza Strip without warning.

Following Israel's imposition of a blockade on the Gaza Strip, which has severed essential utilities such as electricity and water, and restricted the entry of food and fuel into the densely populated area of 2.3 million people, Hamas issued this ominous warning.

Despite the potential for backlash resulting from hostage deaths, the Israeli government remains steadfast in its extensive military campaign against Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has drawn parallels between Hamas and ISIS, emphasizing that Israel's actions mark the initiation of a long-term effort to eradicate the group and bring about transformative change in the Middle East.

"Hamas terrorists bound, burned, and executed children. They are savages. Hamas is ISIS," Netanyahu declared.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant adopted a resolute tone when addressing troops stationed along the Gaza border, stating that all restraints have been removed, and Gaza will undergo an irreversible transformation.

"You will have the capacity to alter the situation here. You have witnessed the prices (being paid), and you will witness the change. Hamas sought a change in Gaza; it will change by 180 degrees from what it envisioned," reported The Times of Israel.

This ongoing and deadly conflict has resulted in a significant loss of life, with at least 3,000 people killed. The conflict ignited after Hamas launched 5,000 rockets into Israel and initiated a multi-pronged attack on the country from the air, land, and sea on Saturday.
