Heckled by a boy, Ted Cruz says youngster should be "spanked"
Cruz was interrupted by an unruly young audience during his rally when a young boy yelled at Cruz. "You s**k," the boy yelled from the audience.
"Thank you son, I appreciate you sharing your views," said Cruz, responding to the boy.
"One of the things that hopefully someone has told you is that children should actually speak with respect," Cruz said drawing applause from the audience. He went on to add: "In my household, when a child behaves that way they get a spanking."
However, Cruz then trained his guns at Donald Trump and said: "Imagine what a different world it would be if someone had told Donald Trump that years ago."
Last week, Cruz announced former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina as his vice presidential running mate in a bid to resuscitate his White House aspirations.
