The investigation is being conducted by a team led by Additional DCP (north) Anjitha Chepyala and includes three other officers and five forensic experts.

In response to the viral footage, the AAP's Rajya Sabha MP stated that the truth would eventually come to light. Maliwal expressed her belief, through X, that the individual involved in the assault was attempting to save himself, but asserted that the truth would emerge after investigating the CCTV footage from the Delhi CM's residence. She also emphasized that he cannot evade accountability for his actions.
