Sushma meets Russian foreign minister

Moscow, April 18: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday, April 18 held a bilateral meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the Russia-India-China (RIC) foreign ministers' meeting here.

"A bilateral with the gracious host of the RIC Conference. EAM @SushmaSwaraj holds talks with FM Sergey Lavrov in Moscow," external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted.

Earlier on Monday, Sushma Swaraj met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and raised the issue of China vetoing India's bid in the UN to ban Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.

She is also scheduled to meet Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who is co-chair of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation, to take stock of the developments in strengthening this important aspect of the bilateral relationship.
