Suicide bomber denotes himself in Kabul, one dead
A suicide bomber detonated himself near a police check post in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Wednesday, killing one person, said reports.
The number of persons injured in the attack is not clear as yet as further details are awaited.

On Monday, at least 50 civilians have been killed by militants in northern Afghanistan, said reports. The assailants entered a village and shot dead mainly Shia Muslim civilians including women and children
Last week, an explosion at a mosque in the Afghan city of Herat killed about 30 people and injured dozens more. Herat officials had confirmed that the explosion was carried out by two attackers. According to officials, the first attacker detonated his explosives outside the mosque and then the second attacker opened fire in the worshippers inside the mosque.
On August 2, two U.S. service members were killed in an attack on a NATO convoy near Kandarhar in southern Afghanistan.
